Leveling Up | Apple iOS 15

The iOS 15 release has landed. Are you ready to level up like a boss?

Do you really want to be available for anyone and everyone on a 24/7 basis? Well, I guess that depends on who you talk to. What do I mean? There once was a famous person who was quoted as saying that

"The more available you make yourself, the more available everyone will expect you to be".

If you ask an Apple user the answer would be "heck yes"! And this seems to be very true as Apple revealed its plans to release software updates for not only the iPhone but also for its iPad, and smartwatch. Apple released this news recently and has reported that the company will be adding new features for compatible devices.

In the modern society that we currently live in and with many of our daily actions surrounding the use of our cell phones, we see people talking anywhere and everywhere. As well as being distracted by the endless apps. However, when we use this technology for business, your cell phone can prove to be a very effective and worthy piece of device. This makes the cell phone a significant business tool which is why it's important to make sure that you have the updates readily available. To apply the new iPhone updates first grab your iPhone (Androids users we'll see you in another article, but enjoy your day...)

  • Open the Settings app on an iPhone, iPad, (updates are also available for your Mac, or on iTunes using a Windows computer.)

  • Click on General > Software Update.

  • Tap install if available to download, verify and then reboot to install.

For those who are looking to update their WatchOS 8 Apple requires that you have an iPhone 6s or later which has a software update to iOS 15 first. If that's you grab your device/watch and

  • Open the Watch app

  • Go to General > Software Update

  • You should begin to see that the installation process beginning.

  • To complete the update you will need to put the smartwatch on its charger.

It's great and even necessary in many instances and professions, to stay on top of the trends and even the latest technology. However, to have a well-balanced life and to function at your highest availability it's important to get the right amount of sleep as well as focus on your physical and mental heart. Considering today's time you may also want to handle your mobile device accordingly while using the bathroom. If you make yourself available all the time, you may have found that you have created a nightmare for yourself.

Apple's newest updates have made it easier to manage your time by allowing its users to add apps side by side which is ideal for those who need to multitask. To start multitasking like an Apple Boss simply

  • Tap the new three-dot menu at the top of the screen to put the current app in full-screen

  • split-view or slide-over

  • select a second app from the home screen

  • You can also arrange the apps by dragging them onto one another from the app switcher menu.

Some other new updates that you should know about are:

  • Redesign of Safari

  • FaceTime with non-Apple users

  • Live text and visual lookup

  • Shared health

  • Faster Siri and privacy upgrades

  • iPadOS 15

  • Quick Notes

  • Keyboard shortcuts

How much will it cost? The update is free from Apple. If you are being asked to pay for an update it is likely to be a scam. Now that you have leveled up just remember to use your cell phones with a certain degree of etiquette with respect for those around you as you continue to spread love and kindness.
